This summer we hosted our summer photography camp in a virtual format due to COVID-19. 10 campers registered and they were tasked with taking photos of different subjects and scenes using tips and tricks they learned from guest speakers. The photos shown here are those which were submitted by students. Some participants chose not to submit final photos and some were only able to complete a couple of the tasks. As this was an unusual summer camp for them and the museum we were unable to do our usual in-person exhibit for the campers and so have included photos here.

Kristy CarterThis is my mom. Her favorite teacher is named Mr. Adams. She liked him a lot because he read her stories and sometimes he would act them out. People would be surprised to know that she is very shy. When she was a child she always wanted to be a teacher. She used to grab her stuffed animals, make a little classroom and teach them stuff. And a few years later she would teach her little sister and little cousins stuff. Her favorite summer memories are from when she was grown up because she loves to hang out with her little kids, Max and Kit. She has met some people that are famous. She met three people from The Walking Dead. One person she got to talk to, but the other two she just took pictures with. It was very fun for her. -Photo of Kristy Carter by Max Carter
