Building Community in Adversity

Building Community in Adversity, Hopewell Museum’s latest exhibit, celebrates the struggles and accomplishments of African Americans in Paris and Bourbon County during the onerous decades of Jim Crow segregation. This exhibit in honor of Black History Month demonstrates how African Americans built community through churches, schools, organizations, businesses, and neighborhoods when they were not welcome in other segments of the community.

Fall ArtWalk – Sept. 16th 5-8 pm

Stop by the Hopewell Museum during ArtWalk on Friday, September 16th from 5pm to 8pm. We will feature two artists: Alicia Frazier and Andy Sunda. We will also have an activity table on Main Street. FREE!

Creative Harvest Open until December 9th

Please stop by Hopewell Museum to see the 21st Creative Harvest exhibit featuring local artists. The exhibit will be on display until close of business on Friday, December 9th.

Bring the family to the Paris High School Cafeteria on December 18 from 1-3 PM. We’ll paint ornaments and decorate cookies while playing some old Christmas favorites! All ages welcome.
